The first time I heard Now, Now (formerly Now Now, Every Children) I couldn\u2019t figure out how exactly it was that they reminded me so much of\u00a0Tegan and Sara<\/a>.\u00a0 Was it in the guitar riffs? The vocal style? The angtsy subject matter? And then I read the liner notes. Their second full-length,\u00a0Threads<\/i>, was produced by the very same\u00a0Howard Redekopp<\/a>\u00a0that has worked with the Quin sisters on releases such as\u00a0So Jealous<\/i>,\u00a0Sainthood<\/i>, and\u00a0Get Along<\/i>. Mystery solved.<\/p>\n

\nNow, Now began in Minneapolis in 2007 and released a couple EPs and their debut full-length on\u00a0Afternoon Records<\/a>\u00a0before hitting the \u201cmainstream\u201d on tour with Hellogoodbye and Jukebox the Ghost in 2011. The same year, they signed with\u00a0Chris Walla<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0Trans Records<\/a>\u00a0and have since joined on tours with fun. and The Naked and Famous.<\/p>\n

Since I\u2019m sure we\u2019re all well aware of the impressive history and recent fame of twin sister lesbian icons Tegan and Sara, today I hope you\u2019ll have a moment to lend an ear to a group that may well be the Tegan and Sara of 2020.
