Brighton-based producer Max Wheeler and vocalist\/songwriter Victoria Port make up\u00a0Anushka<\/a>,\u00a0an electronic pop duo that describes their own sound as \u201cvocal bass music from the future.\u201d\u00a0Having released\u00a0their debut\u00a0Yes Guess<\/i>\u00a0EP<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0Brownswood Recordings<\/a>\u00a0in the spring of 2013, Anushka recently followed up with new single\u00a0\u201cNever Can Decide\u201d<\/a>. The original cut debuted late last fall, with the EP including remixes from GoldFFinch and Ivy Lab dropping officially on January 13, 2014.<\/p>\n The soulful and sweet and sometimes jazzy swooning of Port\u00a0deliver10ed atop the electro-house inspired beats of Wheeler call to mind contemporaries such as AlunaGeorge, D\/R\/U\/G\/S and maybe a cross between Laura Mvula and Disclosure. It\u2019s trance music your R&B loving aunt might like. It\u2019s bass music dripping with enough butter to make it slide down easy for fans and strangers of the genre alike.
