Moodboard Editorial<\/span><\/p>\n

In light of summer’s triumphant return after one bloody cold winter, this week’s fashion post is part of our new Moodboard Editorial Series where we muse about all aspects of a fashion story, the plot, the clothes, the space, the styling and of course the mise-en-sc\u00e8ne.<\/em><\/p>\n

This week’s inspiration is from the artist Christopher Payne who recently published the photographic compendium North Brother Island<\/i><\/a>. The book explores the abandoned North Brother island which served as a multi- purpose medical facility as well as housing complex for city of Manhattan since the 1920s. Overgrown with plant life and brimming with feral animals, this verdant terrain has become the creative inspiration for Chris Payne’s new work. After seeing a lecture of about his new book I was instantly fascinated, obsessed, and became overwhelmed with a sense of urgency to shoot our next Posture fashion editorial in this fabulous location (we\u2019ll figure out the legalities of this matter later).<\/p>\n

In any case, I thought I\u2019d share with you some of the themes and ideas I had for my ultimate dream editorial aptly titled Vestiges-Dreamscapes for a Queer Summer Romance. This moodboard\u00a0 explores and indulges on a more nuanced twist on summer romance but with a lush visual vocabulary. The shoot is broken up into three parts: High Tea & Absinthe featuring Laverne Cox and Andrej Pejic, Swedish Solstice Aperitif with Andrej Pejic and Erika Linder, and who can forget the most romantic of any editorial: a Midsummer Wedding with Andrej Pejic and Laverne Cox.
