Posture’s landing page (www.posturemag.com<\/span><\/a><\/span>) is a visual playground. We have decided to take advantage of this layout to carefully choose and feature one artist per month who inspires us to be the “face” of Posture.<\/span><\/h6>\n
We are kicking off this new opportunity with M. Sharkey<\/a>, an award winning New York-based photographer and filmmaker. His work has also been featured in a plethora of publications such as Artforum, Revolver, New York Magazine, TIME, Out, and The Observer.<\/h6>\n
As a prolific artist, M. Sharkey has completed many different projects that highlight aspects of the queer community such as Transmogrified<\/a>, OUT 100<\/a>, and\u00a0MARS<\/a>. Further, his series titled Queer Kids<\/a> was just featured this July 2014 in The Rencontres d’Arles<\/a> summer photography festival in France (and stay tuned because it’s coming to America soon!).<\/h6>\n
I am very much inspired by his stunning portraits of the drag performer Sharon Needles<\/a> in particular and am excited to announce our new featured image to be chosen from this series.<\/h6>\n
