At the culmination of the week-long\u00a0Buoy\u00a0R+R: Residency and Retreat, ten female artists from NYC will present a site specific interactive dance experience over 13 acres of land in Deep River, Connecticut, just three hours north of NYC, as directed by\u00a0BUOY: Bailey Nolan\u00a0and\u00a0Viva Soudan.\u00a0 The performance\u00a0will explore themes of duality, femininity, insanity, and broadway taking viewers to a lost world, a kind of forgotten convent’s playground, where performers will explore a range of emotions typically akin to “female” roles in our society, running the gamut from empowerment to safety to hysteria to joy and so on, all interlaced with an undertone of a teenage tag where the viewer and the performer take turns being “it”… you will emerge from this lost society a little less familiar with gravity, all chakras aflame.<\/p>\n

There is a bus provided by JunXion traveling from NYC to Deep River, departing\u00a0on Saturday<\/span>\u00a0at\u00a0noon<\/span>, returning at\u00a0midnight<\/span>\u00a0from the JunXion lot:\u00a039 Knickerbocker Avenue, Brooklyn.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
