A gang of friends are dressed for a night of exploration, their vivid outfits acting as armor against bleak surroundings. This collection of colors, textures, and shapes from young New York designers recalls a time when club kids ruled the underworld, their costumes intending to call into question the meaning of gender and beauty as we knew them. Today, these pieces of wearable art shatter the stagnant landscape, forcing the viewer to consider the world from a new angle \u2013 through neon-colored glasses.<\/p>\n

Photographer Thibault-Th\u00e9odore Babin\u2019s<\/a> approach to capturing this phenomenon is one of connection. \u201cI want to look into the eyes of the model. They become engaged in the photograph, and the photograph becomes our shared work. It\u2019s empowering and allows them to express themselves fully through my camera.\u201d His method of consensual creativity provides a space for beauty, art, and expression to live freely, fostering a shockwave of fresh and positive ideas.<\/p>\n
